TEENS

We offer a supportive, caring environment for teens with programs that emphasize camaraderie, leadership and physical activity. Our teen leader clubs are an opportunity to build leadership skills and provide community service. In addition, teens can work out in theFitness Center, take teen fitness classes and tryout for the swim team or gymnastics team. Our  Middle School nights provide an opportunity for teens to relax and interact with peers with an organized activity. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL NIGHTS – 2ND SATURDAYS
Teen Nights for 6th-8th graders are scheduled from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on the 2nd Saturday of each month.  Middle schoolers can get together with friends and have a good time. Advance registration recommended.

TEEN LEADERS CLUBS

Junior Leaders - Grades 6-8
This leadership group is designed for middle school students who want to make a positive impact in the Rye community, meet new friends and participate in a variety of service projects. The Junior Leaders meet weekly to plan and participate in meaningful and fulfilling activities, while introducing students to the ideals of social responsibility, leadership and community service. The club is free.  If interested, please email Edwin Santos.

Leaders - Grades 9-12
One of the best ways to get those volunteer hours some schools require for high school graduation! Our Leaders Clubs meet once a week and are run by a group of elected teens with supervision from a Y Teen Advisor. This small group of teens serves as ambassadors of the Rye Y while promoting ideals of social responsibility, leadership and service to others. Leaders participate in weekly meetings, community events, regional teen rallies, and fundraising efforts. The club is free.  If interested, please email Edwin Santos.

TEEN FITNESS
The Rye Y offers several opportunities for teens to work on fitness goals.   Our regular group exercise classes are open to teens 14 and over.  We have several programs just for teens ages 11-15. Please check our current program guide for details.  Teens age 15+ or Teens 14 + with a Passport Card  may work out in the Fitness Center.  Personal training is also an option for ages 12 and up.  Teens ages 16 and up may also participate in group exercise classes at the Y Studios.
