Helping people of all ages and abilities to develop health in spirit, mind and body is at the core of the YMCA movement. Our programs are designed to help people create realistic goals for self improvement through regular exercise, proper nutrition, stress management and health education. Participation in our fitness programs means opportunities for friendships, a sense of well-being, self-confidence, and improved mental abilities and cognition — plus the benefits of healthy hearts, lungs, bones and muscles.
There are many ways to get involved – including group exercise classes, working out in the Fitness Center or the Y Studios and working with a personal trainer individually or in small groups. The Studios at the Rye YMCA (Y Studios) is a vibrant, state-of-the-art facility that brings four unique fitness studios together under one roof, allowing members to take group exercise classes; work out with a personal trainer; and improve their health with our chronic disease prevention programs. Our State of the Art Wellness Center is equipped with cardiovascular machines (most with individual cable TV) free weights, circuit machines and stability balls.
Our staff will instruct you on proper use of the equipment and facility. An orientation for both the cardiovascular and resistance equipment is included with your membership and is strongly encouraged. Please stop by the Wellness Center to make an appointment.
