[Rye, NY, January 7, 2025] The Rye Y’s swim team continued their winning streak on January 5 with a decisive victory over the New Rochelle YMCA. The team's depth and skill were on full display as they leveraged their larger squad size to achieve remarkable results. With many swimmers delivering personal best times, the meet showcased the spirit of teamwork, perseverance, and individual growth.

“Our team performed incredibly well,” said Coach Kate Tiedemann “While our size gave us an advantage, the true victory lies in the personal bests and the hard work our swimmers demonstrated. It’s a testament to their dedication and the supportive environment we foster here at the YMCA.”

So far, 68 of the team’s 145 swimmers have qualified for the YMCA State Championship, which will take place in Webster, NY from March 21–23. The team is eager to continue building momentum as they head into their next two dual meets: traveling to face Cornerstone YMCA on Sunday, January 12, and hosting the White Plains YWCA on Sunday, January 26.
