What is the Virtual Rye Y?
Virtual Y is our first-ever Virtual Rye Y “branch”. This members-only experience for fitness and wellbeing is broadcast to everywhere the internet reaches. The Virtual Y offers many of the same experiences of a brick-and-mortar Y, but from the convenience of your own home—or wherever you happen to be. Virtual Y currently offers Zoom fitness classes and an ever-growing on-demand video library. We are growing and expanding, and look forward to serving you 24/7 for many years to come.

What fitness classes are you offering on Virtual Y?
We currently offer nearly 3 dozen weekly zoom classes in the following categories: Yoga, Pilates, Gentle, Strength & Toning, Tai-Chi, Core Crunch, Zumba, Kickboxing and Express classes. In addition we have dozens of on-demand classes, organized by the same categories.

Are you offering virtual Community Health options?
Several of of our Community Health programs are currently being offered virtually. These programs include LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program.. For more information please email Heidy Barros, or call at 967-6363, x114

Who can access Virtual Y?
Virtual Y is accessible to all Rye YMCA active members and included in your membership at no additional charge.

How can I access Virtual Y?
Members can exercise from their mobile phone, tablet, desktop computer or laptop. Visit to login. You will log on to the site by using your 6-digit barcode number.

I can’t log in because I don’t have a barcode number.
You can find your barcode number on the back of your Rye Y Membership card or in your Rye Y mobile app. If you need assistance, please contact Member Services at 914-967-6363.

Is Virtual Y a separate membership?
No. Virtual Y is included as part of your Rye YMCA membership. We currently do not offer a digital-only Virtual Y membership option.

Will Virtual Y be expanding beyond its current online program offerings?
We are exploring new ways to bring the Rye Y into your homes, onto your screens, and wherever you may be. We are evaluating our current live classes and events on an ongoing basis, and adapting our offerings based on staff, member, and community feedback. What virtual programs do you have for kids?
Youth programming is an area we are looking forward to adding in the future for our members and their families. In the meantime, please visit our Rye Y@Home channel on YouTube, which includes on demand offerings for the whole family.
