I started at the Y by swimming with my daughter Sandra. My daughter Lisa worked here after high school in the after-school program. Later Sandra became a CIT and then a camp counselor. I started working in Child Watch almost 17 years ago.
The Y is wonderful. I’m always with the babies. I love the babies and they love me. I know each one and what they want. I love the parents too and have a beautiful relationship with them. Now I’m especially happy because I have two beautiful grandchildren, Christian and Lia.
I love seeing the babies grow up. Sometimes in the parking lot or the store I hear someone call out “Gina!” They are fifteen, sixteen years old now and they were once in Child Watch with me.
