My brother encouraged our family to join the Y when we moved here 10 years ago. The family atmosphere is great – moms, dads, kids. I used to bring my daughter and son to babysitting and the staff still ask about them. Both kids learned to swim here. My daughter used to be on the swim team and my son still is. They both were in summer camp. My daughter likes the open basketball here. On, Sunday she’ll look at the schedule and say “Mom I’m going to the Y to play basketball.”
Being here is social and fun. I met people here 10 years ago that I’m still friends with. The facilities are well maintained and I’ve noticed that the group exercise classes have gotten better. My husband also works out here. Debbie and Bill are here. It’s a great place. I wasn’t here for a while and Debbie called me at home to see if I was OK. She always asks how I am. Everyone knows everyone here.
