We offer a supportive, caring environment for teens with programs that emphasize camaraderie, leadership and physical activity. Our teen leader clubs are an opportunity to build leadership skills and provide community service. In addition, teens can work out in the Freestyle Fitness Zone or fitness center, take teen fitness classes and tryout for the swim team or gymnastics team. Our after school drop in program and Middle School nights provide an opportunity for teens to relax and interact with peers in the teen lounge, game room and our other facilities.
Teen Nights for 6th-8th graders are scheduled from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Teens need safe places, caring adults and positive activities on Saturday nights. At the Y, middle schoolers can get together with friends and have a good time.
Grades 9-12 – This leadership group, run by and for the teens, teaches the ideals of social responsibility, leadership and service to others. As the “Teen Ambassadors” for the Rye Y, Leaders will participate in a variety of Y events, regional teen rallies and fund raising efforts. In addition, Teen Leaders are given the opportunity to create personal portfolios to aid them in their pursuit of jobs, scholarships, and college acceptance. New Teen Leaders are chosen based on personal interviews and desire to make a positive difference in their community. For more information, please contact email@example.com
The Rye Y offers several opportunities for teens to work on fitness goals. Personal training is also an option. Our regular group exercise classes are open to teens 14 and over. Click here to view the schedule and also view special teen classes. We have several programs just for teens including Teen Strength & Conditioning and Teen HIIT. Please check our current program guide. for details. Teens age 15+ or Teens 14 + with a Passport Card may work out in the Fitness Center.
