The Rye YMCA is a membership organization that values caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Membership is a privilege, not a right. We expect persons using the Y to behave in a mature and responsible way and to respect the rights and dignity of others. Members and guests are encouraged to notify staff if they are made to feel uncomfortable while using the Y. The Y has the right to suspend or cancel a membership if the member’s behavior or language violates a generally accepted standard of conduct.

SAFETY AT THE Y
Thank you for checking in!
ALL members must check in using their membership card, the Rye Y app or last name.
ALL others must check in using a sign-in sheet. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the Rye Y safe! Reminder, children under the age of 11 must be supervised at all times.

Membership Screening
The YMCA conducts regular sex offender screenings on all members and may screen other guests and visitors as well. If a sex offender match occurs, the YMCA reserves the right to cancel membership, end program participation, and remove visitation access. In some instances we might need to collect additional information and our Membership Engagement Director, Barbara, will reach out to you.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Rye Y Thunder/Lightning Policy
We’d like to remind you of our policy based on recommendations from the National Lightning Safety Institute and our insurance company, the Redwoods Group: At the first signs of lightning or thunder, the pools will be evacuated.  They will remain cleared for 30 minutes after the last observation of lightning or thunder. Members should leave the pool and the surrounding area.
