Safe Routes to School

Midland Elementary School students were excited about their walking school bus as Walk to School Week kicked off in Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Port Chester and Rye on Monday. Walk to School Week Rye is scheduled to coincide with International W…alk to School Day (October 9), a global event that involves communities from more than 40 countries walking and biking to school.  It is sponsored locally by the Rye YMCA and the parent-led Safe Routes to School Committee.
