Wave Ryeder team members will compete in two more meets this season. Eleven swimmers will travel to the Sunkissed Invitational in Charlotte, North Carolina to swim with teams from all over the east coast. For the first time in team history, a team member, Riley Haffner, has qualified for and will compete in the 2019 YMCA National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The goal of the Wave Ryeders program is to promote fun, camaraderie, friendship, new skills, physical fitness and positive values that extend beyond the swimming environment. The Rye YMCA offers both a Spring and Fall swim team. Pre-team is also available for swimmers not yet ready for competition.
