Middle Schoolers Enthusiastic about Rye Y’s 2nd Saturday Event

IMG_1902RYE, NY (September 18, 2015) Dozens of 6th, 7th and 8th graders enthusiastically participated in the Rye Y’s first teen night of the new school year on September 12. The most popular activities were Sumo wrestling, during which competitors fought to be the “last man standing,” and “Capture the Medallion,” a game that required teamwork and (literally) overcoming obstacles to win. Teens also enjoyed pizza, football, board games and fine arts.

Rye Y Middle School nights are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 7-10 pm. On October 10, the “Larger than Life” theme will feature Ultimate Skee Ball, Human Hungry Hippos and Life Size Angry Bird. Rye Y members are free; the non-member fee is $5.
