Oralia Barrios knew she’d gotten heavy, but she didn’t realize how heavy until she went to the doctor last year. At 5-foot-2, she weighed 190 pounds. And her doctor at the Open Door Family Medical Center in Port Chester, N.Y., had bad news: her blood sugar was too high.
