Planned Gift

Consider including the Rye YMCA in your will or living trust. In this way, a fixed amount, specific asset or percentage of your estate may be set aside as bequests and qualify for estate deductions.

Life Insurance Gift

Naming the Rye YMCA as a primary or even secondary beneficiary of your insurance policy paves the way for a large future gift. Should you wish to contribute a life insurance policy that is no longer needed to protect current beneficiaries, you could realize substantial income tax deductions.

Charitable Trust or Annuity

Creating a charitable trust or annuity provides life income for yourself and/or others. With all or a portion of your gift eventually directed to the Rye YMCA, you could receive a charitable deduction.

Shopping on Amazon Smile

Amazon Smile is a simple and automatic way for you to support the YMCA every time you shop, at no cost to you. Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization. Click here to get started.

Heritage Society

The Heritage Society recognizes and honors those who have included the Rye YMCA in their estate plans with a future gift through a bequest, life insurance, or trust arrangement; or have made an outright gift to the Rye Y’s endowment fund.

Heritage Society members realize how important the YMCA has been to them throughout their lives and to the community. They believe in the purpose and values of the YMCA and have taken the steps necessary to ensure the Y will be here for future generations.

Gifts through The Heritage Society are used to build the Y’s endowment fund. These funds are invested for long term income and growth, and a portion of the investment income and growth is used to fund YMCA programs each year.

The Harry Broom Endowment Fund

The Rye Y’s endowment fund is named after Harry P. Broom for his exceptional vision and generosity in securing the future of the Y for generations to come.

A robust endowment will ensure the Y’s financial future, allowing us to keep our programs open to all regardless of an individual’s ability to pay, and to uphold our strong tradition of meeting community need.
