Volunteer

The Rye YMCA is a great place to work and a great place to volunteer! However, we are not always able to accept volunteers, especially during the ongoing pandemic and since the September 2021 flood, from which we’re still recovering.

Fall/Winter 2021 volunteer opportunities:

  • Togetherhood

Our Togetherhood program engages volunteers of all ages in projects that benefit the communities we serve…and beyond. Get involved by attending a one-day service project or by joining the committee to plan the projects. For more information, click here.

Spring 2022 volunteer opportunities

  • Togetherhood projects and committee
  • Student Volunteers: The Rye Y offers a limited number of slots each spring for high school seniors and/or college students who are seeking to complete their internship requirements. Click here for more information.

All volunteers are required to complete an application process, which may involve a background check and online training.

Please check this page for updates. During “normal” times, we occasionally have openings for: swim lesson aides, lifeguards, member services greeters, and special events.
