Located in Port Chester, The Sharing Shelf is a program of Family Services of Westchester. The Sharing Shelf collects new and gently used children’s clothing for ages 0-17 and distributes it through social service agencies, teachers and others to children in need at no cost. There are three ways to get involved:
•Bring new or gently used SEASONAL (fall/winter) clothing for babies, children and teens (to age 17) to the Rye Y lobby between Tuesday, Oct.13 and Friday, Oct. 16.
•Help promote this drive to Y members, receive donations and help empty the collection bin. Various shifts on Tuesday-Thursday, Oct. 13-15. Location: Rye Y lobby. Register here.
•Join us at The Sharing Shelf on Saturday, October 17 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to sort, fold and organize clothing. For ages 10+. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Register here.
