Facts About The Rye YMCA

• The Rye YMCA was established in 1913.
• The Rye YMCA offered over 394 classes in the last 12 months.
• 1598 children attend Y daycare and camping programs in 2005 year.
• There were over 2200_visits to our Friday and Saturday night Teen Center in 2005/2006.
• There were over 50,000 visits to the Y's Fitness Center in 2005.
• Swimmers from the Rye Association for the Handicapped clock over 3000 individual hours of swimming in the Y pool each year.
• The Y awarded over $100,000 in financial assistance in 2005 so deserving youth and families could participate in YMCA character building programs.
• The Rye Y currently has over 4,000 "membership units" which equates to over 12,000 members.
• Over 25% of Rye households participate in programs or activities at the Rye Y!
• Every 9 weeks 1100 participants enjoy YMCA swim classes!
